Arif Ahmed is an Associate Lawyer. He completed his LL.B. (Honours) from Premier University, Chattogram. During his undergraduate studies, he was engaged in developing professional and interpersonal skills and aimed to acquire practical legal experience alongside his academic learning.
Mr. Ahmed joined Rayhan and Associate in January 2022 and worked as an Associate Lawyer until the present. He regularly appeared before the District Judge, Special Tribunal, Magistrate, and Assistant Judge Courts. His professional work involved preparing and vetting numerous agreements and contracts, drafting various civil and criminal petitions, criminal appeals, criminal revisions, written statements, and written objections. He also provided legal opinions to corporate entities on civil matters including land and property, bank companies, and Artha Rin matters. In addition, he prepared and drafted legal notices for individual and corporate entities under the Negotiable Instrument Act and other civil and property laws, prepared plaints and written objections for family courts, appeared with the head of the chamber before courts, and conducted legal research on critical legal issues. He has also worked on legal matters for RSGT Bangladesh.
Prior to this, Mr. Ahmed worked as an Associate Lawyer at Kamal and Associate from January 2020 to December 2021, where the chamber primarily handled criminal matters. During this period, he drafted bail petitions, Naraji petitions under the Penal Code and special laws, reviewed drafts related to criminal cases, and gained experience in CR, GR, and non-GR cases. He earlier worked at Rajib and Associate from May 2019 to December 2019, where he drafted legal notices for individuals and companies and prepared plaints and written objections for labour courts. He completed his apprenticeship as a lawyer at the District and Sessions Judge Court, Chattogram from May 2019 to February 2024 and is currently practicing as an Advocate before the same court since March 2024.
